I just don't get it...

I'm so freaking frustrated. I haven't lost anything in some time now, and have actually gained about 3-5 lbs. What the hell is wrong? I don't eat wrong.... not saying I don't eat things I shouldn't b/c I do, but not all the time and I don't over eat. I exercise. I run at least 2 miles a day and lift weights...some of those days I switch out and do the elliptical. I'm almost positive I have enough fluid in my band b/c I had to have some taken out a while back b/c I was way tooooo tight and now they've put some back in to put me right under where I was. I just don't get it and am very down right now... don't get me wrong.. 45-50 lbs is great seeing I just had this thing done in October but I haven't seen anything happen in the last 2-3 weeks and I'm getting VERY frustrated. I still have another 40-50 lbs to go... someone give me some advice.. I need it! I don't go back to the doctor until the first of July.......... arggggrggg.... oh yeah, we close on our new house June 18th! Whoohoo I will post pictures of it later when I get on my home computer. I'm on my work laptop now and they aren't uploaded to to this computer. I'm so excited. We basically bought all new furniture from Haverty's and it will be delivered the same day we close! I wish the packing/moving genie would show up soon to my house!

Hang in there Lulu. Sometimes your body just has to take a breather and balance things out. And sometimes that means showing you up a pound or two for a while. Just keep on doing what you've been doing and it will all start to move downward again. I am in the same boat right now. It hasn't happened before to me yet but I know I am not overeating and I am also exercising alot so it is just a matter of time. By the way kudos to you on losing 50 pounds so far. That is awesome!!

Have you tried tracking what your eating on something like smart people.com for a week or so ? I dont normally calorie count. BUT if i am not losing I do . your doing a lot of working out . Are you sure your eating ENOUGH ? CRAZY i know. But i have found 99% of the time if I am not losing im not getting in enough calories.
If you have upped your working out , or just stayed the same even and not upped your calorie intake your body can tend to go into "Hold up " Mode and try to hang on to what its got . So you might want to try tracking your intake for a few days to a week.
If its less than 1000 for SURE your not getting enough if its between 1000-1200 you might want to try upping it just a LITTLE and see if it helps ?

Yes, hang in there. Revisit your calories. Do you have someone 'pushing' you at the gym? cos I've found that I am used to the exercise I was doing and had to up its intensity to get the same effect.

I agree with Mindy. You should look at how many calories you have been eating. I am in the same boat as you... I am on a plateau, and when I started logging my foods I was only eating around 700 cals a day. You might want to log (if you are not) and possibly up your food intake.

Thanks girls! I guess I need to take the time to do that.. Mindy... I know you and I discussed it a couple of months ago but it's about how bad do I want it. I think that I will start logging my intake and see what it says... I want OFF this plateau!

Hi there....I just recently found your blog. I think you are doing an amazing job.
Every time I get 'stuck' I always go back to protein first. I make sure I get one protein shake a day and for my meals....make it mostly proteins. That seems to get me 'restarted'.
Keep at it girl.....and it will happen!!!

Hang in there! Definitely take a look at your intake, getting too few will definitely stall your weight. It took me a bit to find the magic number, but I lost steadily at between 1200-1400 calories per day. Any more or less and I stalled.

Hi Lulu.. I'm banded too. My weight struggles are similar to yours. Sometimes it just doesn't make sense!! And SO frustrating. I found your blog through another blog through a link from LBT.com. Hang in there, what I try to remember is that we get to keep our bands FOREVER.. so there is no hurry. Eventually it WILL happen. Good luck!
