REWIND!!!

I'm down 2 more lbs and feel fablous. It helps that it's Friday and the scale moved. I so love running and am happy to say that I can run a mile and not beg for an oxygen tank. Hahaha If there are any other runners reading this, I need tips. I so want to be able to get on the treadmill or track, which ever, and just run. It's going to be a lonely weekend. Allen's headed to his hometown of Kirbyville this weekend, so it's just me, Duke which is my chocolate lab, and Sam who is an orange tabby cat. Supposed to be beautiful and sunny on Saturday so I may head to my parents at Lake Cherokee to do some fishing. We will see. Weird to say this, but it's only 11:40am and I am dying to go to the gym and run. Go figure.......

Why isn't it moving??

The scale that is? I'm addicted to it. I made myself a promise to only weigh on Mondays and Fridays and have already broken the promise by getting on the scale today. The scale has not moved in close to 2 or so weeks....and I don't get it!!! I work my ass off at that gym.... sweating my behind off..... walking and running miles at a time. I eat the right things so I don't know what's going on. I called the doctors office and they said to wait it out until my next appointment February 17. (which happens to be our anniversary of 8 years!) Any bandsters advice... I need suggestions, thoughts, etc....

Will write more later... I think I'm getting frustrated to easily but not near ready to scream... I'm still in the fight!

See ya lb's!!!!

Although I've heard this all my life, there is not many years I did it. But... I just started working out again. Exercise is the way to promote weight loss!!! I started walking 3 miles a day last week, 5-6 days a week. This week I started running 1 of those miles. A WHOLE freaking mile. I haven't done that since playing soccer in high school. It feels great. And the best part of it all is the fact the scale dropped 3 more lbs. Whooohooo... What a reward it is. I bought new running shoes which are called "Mizunos." They are so comfortable and well worth the $100 I paid for them.

My eating habits are getting better and I only sip a drink a "couple" of times during dinner. Trying to stop but it would be really hard cold turkey. Another thing I've always heard and know is that you have to eat at least 3 meals a day whether you are hungry or not.... and it's a challenge. I find times that I am just not hungry at all but have to eat.

I bought a membership and paid for it in full last March at Parkway. I'm thinking about switching to the new "Institute" once my membership runs out but am not sure of having a workout "buddy" over there. I know lots of people but they all tend to go during the day... and for me to be able to shop and travel like we do, I have to work. (My husband would say that it's all me, and it is... I love going on vacations) Bahhumbug....Still no pictures to post or better yet that I want to. Hopefully soon!!

No Pain, No Gain??

That is a two way street. I think you have to feel the pain at the gym to avoid gaining. I got up this morning and hit Parkway bright and early. The gym was pretty quite but soon all the "marathoners" began arriving after their run. I lost another 2lbs which keeps me really motivated. I am starting to run more and more every day which really excites me. Several of you know that I grew up as a soccer player and even played until after I graduated high school... and that my friends was the end of my regular, every day exercising until now. But I'm changing that and making the commitment of going to the gym more.... and it feels so good.... burn baby burn.....

I had a "fill" on Tuesday of this week and I'm beginning to wonder if it's toooo tight..?? Whether I drink or eat a very small bite and chew very well, it hurts like HELL going down. I don't get sick and it doesn't come back up, but I want to scream from the pain. But then today I had a small bowl of chili and ate it really slow and was okay... Maybe I just need to get used to the new restriction. Any fellow bandsters advice?

Going to try and download some pictures today so I can do a past pic vs. a new pic as of now. Have a great weekend!

Fill time! Praise the Lord!!

Went for my 10 week check up today @ Dr. Babineau's office today. I'm down almost 30lbs and feel fabulous! It's amazing how much better you feel and the things you want to do with just losing this little amount of weight. I got another fill today. They put in 1cc so that ups me to 6cc's now. That's a good amount so I'm hoping that I will notice a difference in the next couple of days by getting "fuller" quicker. I still haven't learned not to drink before, during, or after I eat. It washes the food thru your band so you don't feel as full. I am going to really work on that! I also need to learn to eat protein first and then vegetables. They say protein sticks with you the longest so eat that first. Another thing that I started.... wham... I started working out again at Parkway. I'm walking/running 3 miles a day...and it's a killer! This body needs help. Sorry everything is running together, but I'm in a hurry and hope to start posting sooner. I'm one of those that loves to read other peoples blogs and it drives me nuts when they don't update like every day.... hahhaaha
