I just don't understand....

(All the girls in gulf shores a couple of weeks ago. I'm the second from the left. I can't believe I wore a bikini but I did....)

I know it's been forever since I posted... I don't have anything good to post! It seems that I am sitting on the same weight, give or take 5 lbs, and can't seem to make the scale budge... for about 3 or so months now! The scale will not drop below 198 and I am just tired of fighting it. I don't understand. I exercise 5-6 times a week... running or a body pump class... I'm not a horrible eater but not perfect either. I don't eat McDonald's and crap but occasionally will have a brownie or sweet tea. I honestly though I would be at or around my goal weight of 150ish by my band anniversary, which is October 17, but doesn't look like I'm going to make it. I think I have the right amount of saline in my band, but might could take a little out. I just don't know what to do. I have an appointment this coming Tuesday and I'm sure they won't be happy b/c the scales haven't moved... which thank goodness they haven't gone up! I need advice, tips, anything you have to say ladies!!! HELP... I just don't get it.....

Lori, I know I don't have the band angle of this but I can tell you where I am coming from. I have seen a HUGE difference since cutting out meats and dairy!! Huge I tell ya!! I try to keep the aspect of only putting in something my body can truly use. This being fruits, veggies, whole grains. We have a smoothie every morning for breakfast it usually consists of fz strawberries, fz blueberries, vanilla soy milk, flax seeds, and spirulina along with honey for sweetness and usuallly a banana. I then either have leftovers or something for lunch. I also treat myself to ice cream made from soy milk or coconut milk. If you like ice cream....it is a nice treat to have. I usually do this a couple times a week in the evenings. I do not feel deprived at all and realize I am treating my body well and it will return the favor with good health and weight loss will follow!! My 2 cents!

Also...you could try a fast if you feel led to it. I did this a week before I made a drastic change in my lifestyle. I only drank water and vegetable juice I got from the Granary...(you have to watch sodium in them). Lakewood has a good one called Super Veggie. It jump started my weight loss and got me revved up to make the necessary changes in my diet. I still only drink water. Can you believe it...me no sodas...Who would have thought it. God is GREAT!!

Well, I just want to say I think you look fabulous. As for why you aren't losing, maybe you need a slight adjustment and then you won't be able to eat as much which in turn will start the weight loss again. I am sure the doctor's office team can give you some suggestions. Maybe talk to the dietician and start journalling your food intake. Keep us posted on what happens and best of luck to you.

I think you awesome! :) My bandiversary was yesterday and I'm only down 35 lbs after a year, but I choose to go slower *lol*. I think you look amazing.

My scales hasn't moved from 240 since October, and I've had fills done, so I feel your pain on this. I have a lot of restriction at times - some weeks I have a hard time just getting one meal a day, then the next week I'm starving, and it'll go back and forth like that. I'm debating on whenw e come to east TX for Christmas going and getting a fill done somewhere - they'recheaper than here! *lol*

Lulu - you look amazing! And thanks for your suggestion on the "kissmyblackass.org" site for the C25K downloads. I love hip hop, so this will be great for me! I'll keep you posted!

Hi there, thanks for following my blog!

You look freaking amazing in that bikini! That is so awesome, should be a giant NSV for you. I can only imagine the day I go out in public in a bikini!

I know you are frustrated, but from my viewpoint as a baby bandster I am totally impressed with how far you have come!

You look great! I love it that you had the confidence to wear a bikini. . I've been starting to fantasize about doing that myself one of these days!

On the WL front, how long have you been going to the gym this much? Is it possible that you are building muscle and losing inches during the phase you are in now? If not, sounds like it's time to mix things up with what you are eating and think about a fill.

Don't worry -- you'll get back on the losing track again!

Hi there,
Just caught up with your blog again - had a mishap and lost you from my dashboard but now I'm back.
I can feel your frustration (but on the plus side: you look amazing in the bikini!!) Nothing worse than doing everything right and not losing.. esp when its been like forever. Maybe you're losing inches? Has your clothes size gone down. Maybe you're not eating enough. Would some tweaks to your exercise/food work.
Regardless of what you are feeling: from the outside in (us bloggers reading!!) you are doing fantastic. This WILL pass.. just keep doing what you're doing.

First of all, let me know say you are my HERO for wearing a bikini! I am so insecure I don't think I'll even wear one when I hit my goal! So bravo girlfriend you rock! =) Secondly, I know where you are coming from! I just recently started blogging a lot again because I actually have something to blog about! I had a couple of months there where the scale was just not budging!

I guess try some different types of exercises, the body gets use to what you are doing. Also, figure out what your metabolic rate is because with loosing weight that changes and therefore you need to make sure you are still consuming less than you are burning daily! I hope this all gets better for you! Let us know what your doc says!
