See ya lb's!!!!

Although I've heard this all my life, there is not many years I did it. But... I just started working out again. Exercise is the way to promote weight loss!!! I started walking 3 miles a day last week, 5-6 days a week. This week I started running 1 of those miles. A WHOLE freaking mile. I haven't done that since playing soccer in high school. It feels great. And the best part of it all is the fact the scale dropped 3 more lbs. Whooohooo... What a reward it is. I bought new running shoes which are called "Mizunos." They are so comfortable and well worth the $100 I paid for them.

My eating habits are getting better and I only sip a drink a "couple" of times during dinner. Trying to stop but it would be really hard cold turkey. Another thing I've always heard and know is that you have to eat at least 3 meals a day whether you are hungry or not.... and it's a challenge. I find times that I am just not hungry at all but have to eat.

I bought a membership and paid for it in full last March at Parkway. I'm thinking about switching to the new "Institute" once my membership runs out but am not sure of having a workout "buddy" over there. I know lots of people but they all tend to go during the day... and for me to be able to shop and travel like we do, I have to work. (My husband would say that it's all me, and it is... I love going on vacations) Bahhumbug....Still no pictures to post or better yet that I want to. Hopefully soon!!

WOW Lori!! Your journey is such an inspiration!! Keep up the good work! I almost passed out after 2 miles Tuesday..but I went back wed. and walked the treadmill for a solid 30 minutes with a 5 minute cool down, and at a good pace. Zumba was on Thursday, and let me tell ya..wow! :) The hour went by sooo fast, and I did get a total body workout, if only I could be coordinated!! ;) I plan on walking Mon-Wed, and Zumba Tues-Thurs..until February when I'm going to join the "Fit Camp"..It's 30 minutes 3 days a week, of FULL BODY WORKOUT, bootcamp style..I'm soooo scared and intimadated by the thought of it, but I know I HAVE to do it!! The Institute is AMAZING.. and we go at night! You are so welcome to join in with us..we keep recruiting people, there's about 4-5 girls now! But.. you'll see soo many people you know up there!! After your loss so far, how do you feel? Are you noticing differences? Clothes, Energy??

I do notice a difference. I've lost around 35ish now. I love the fact that jeans don't hurt when I wear them now and when I sit down I have a "smaller bump" than a "hill" hanging over the top. Just with exercising I feel amazing. I think I am going to call Monday and see what the price difference is @ the Institute vs Parkway. Jennifer Shivers still goes with me to Parkway but has already joined the Institute. Once her membership runs out @ PWay, she will be starting over there too. You will soon begin to build up to working out more. Zumba is crazy. We did a trial class @ PWay and I felt like an idiot. I felt like people were watching me and laughing. (I have NO rhythmn!!) When and if, which I'm sure I will, switch to the Institute, I will hook up with you guys. I'm setting hight goals... Gotta get this body into shape before summer.... That's April for me b/c I worship the sun... I'm sure I will pay for it one day!

You are doing so good! I am proud of you for sticking with the "workout" part. You have inspired me to get off my lazy but and go too. Let's workout everyday. I'll be Richard Simmons and You Jane Fonda.
