Why isn't it moving??

The scale that is? I'm addicted to it. I made myself a promise to only weigh on Mondays and Fridays and have already broken the promise by getting on the scale today. The scale has not moved in close to 2 or so weeks....and I don't get it!!! I work my ass off at that gym.... sweating my behind off..... walking and running miles at a time. I eat the right things so I don't know what's going on. I called the doctors office and they said to wait it out until my next appointment February 17. (which happens to be our anniversary of 8 years!) Any bandsters advice... I need suggestions, thoughts, etc....

Will write more later... I think I'm getting frustrated to easily but not near ready to scream... I'm still in the fight!

I am not a food tracker, But the only time i track my intake is when i dont lose . Have you thought about tracking your intake for a day or 2 to see what your taking in ?
You might not ( are you ready for this ?) be eating ENOUGH . If your working out and not eating enough your body will not lose , its going to store in order to preserve energy.
try www.sparkpeople.com and track your food intake for about week see what it averages out to be .
For me personally if i get in less than 1000 calories a week I wont lose. I need to be between 1000-1200 if your working out you need to be closer to at least 1100.
Depedning on your work out .
Also the scale is SO tempting. You want to join our weekly weight in to see if it might help you stay off your scale ?

Hi Lulu, I am also addicted to the scales. I am on day 4 of Optifast and have been losing everyday and lost 3.2kgs in the first 3 days and now nothing and yes I have a small case of the poops. How ridiculous is that? I'm sure I won't be happy until I'm a skeleton. Anway, I learnt a big lesson when being a gym junkie intense exercise is for your heart (cardio) and not fat burning ask your trainers about the fat burning range compared to the cardio range. You burn alot more fat doing low intensity high impact exercise such as walking (i had my most successful weight loss to date that way). You dont want your heart to beat too fast (there is some percentage formula to it). You will definitely be gaining muscle with what you're doing and it does have a much higher density and weigh more than fat and you will be toned but honestly, if you lay off it a bit and balance out the food, you will start losing again. Also, walking first thing in the morning on an empty stomach gives the best results as your body has to dip into its fat reserves rather than what you have in your stomach for energy. Stay strong, be honest about your food, stay away from the scales (god help me) and enjoy the ride!
